Our goal - focus on fast implementation
The goal was to achieve a rapid deployment of SAP Finance, targeting a three-month turnaround per country.
Concentrating on core configurations and applying best practices allowed us to meet Northern Data’s essential needs.
This strategy ensured a swift, efficient, and precise system setup, that aligned with critical business needs. Resulting in a rapid deployment process that delivered immediate and impactful results, much to the satisfaction of our clients.
Our systematic approach with discovery- and customization phase followed by comprehensive functional testing, dedicated training sessions, and user acceptance testing ensured smooth rollouts.
In 2022, we achieved the rollout for 13 company codes in Germany and USA. Our momentum continued with another 16 companies across Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, and Ireland.
Simultaneously, we are enhancing system functionality to support procurement and logistics processes as well as treasury topics.
The years-long ERP implementation projects are not acceptable in a fast-changing environment anymore. During acouple of years, a start-up company can develop into a global player in the industry. Therefore, at Finatycs we offer an agile approach to respond to the client's needs by focusing on and understanding their core processes.
By teaming up with the client and defining an understandable roadmap for everyone in the organization, we elevated the Northern Data financial organization to the next level.

Our solution - change process support
Customizing the system to the client's needs in a greenfield implementation at Northern Data, allowed us to embrace and leverage SAP best practices and explore the possibilities that SAP S4/HANA (private) cloud offers, together with the client.
The integration with third parties through the SAP Business Technology Platform allows us to streamline and automate tasks within the processes without extensive development efforts.

Our client and his challenges
Northern Data, headquartered and listed in Germany, is a specialized technology company that provides High-Performance-Computing (HPC) infrastructure solutions.
The group owns and operates energy-efficient data centers across Europe and the US to power bitcoin mining, generative AI, and co-location services. Each center s strategically situated to maximize sustainability and minimize operating costs, for example via natural cooling methods, while providing the infrastructure to optimize the computing power of the latest processors that supply HPC.

With the growing business and expanding service portfolio, we identified the need for a stable and audit-proof ERP system, which can cover the fast-growing business processes. I'm convinced that we are the best-positioned company in this industry in terms of finance operations.
